#63 Mariclaire Sabados (2023, RHP/1B) returns for her 4th season on the St Louis Heat 03! Mari is a talented right-handed pitcher and can also play first base. As a freshman, she earned 1st team All-District and 2nd team All-Conference honors for her work in the circle and at the plate. She helped her high school team to the championships at the Ozark Fall Festival and was the winning pitcher in the championship game at the St Louis Suburban Showcase. She was also voted Rookie of the Year by her teammates for her outstanding season where she went 8-3 with 1 save and had a .413 batting average. As a sophomore, Mari earned 1st Team All-District honors.
In the circle, Mari is a power pitcher with good movement. She defends her position well and throws accurately. As a hitter, Mari is strong and hits for power. She also bunts well.
Mari has a strong work ethic and is extremely competitive and coachable. She is undecided about what she would like to study in college.
